posing
Made Nate some shorts today. I've learned I can't make a big deal out it or he won't wear them. So I finished them and set them on the back of my recliner. After about an hour he brought them to me and asked me to put them on him. =) When I got the camera out to take a photo he decided to "pose" for me. haha. He loves his blue drink bottle with the ninja on it.

cool, man
We were shopping with Josh at Target on Monday afternoon. I was checking out all the clearanced summer clothes and Josh was trying to keep the little kids occupied. He found this Cars themed leather jacket in Nate's size and let him try it on. Nate thought it was so cool.
Quiet boy
The last couple days while Naomi is napping and the girls are doing schoolwork Nathan will disappear. This morning when I turned on my tablet there were about 15 different apps open. And some interesting photos taken. haha. apparently Nathan knows how to turn the tablet on and find games and whatnot to play. Guess it's time to put some sort of security code on the tablet. Wonder how long that will take for him to figure out??
Quiet baby
Naomi was being very quiet the other day so I went searching for her. Found her in the kids' bathroom. She had dumped all this stuff out and was putting the curlers back into the bag. =)
New bunk bed
Josh built new a bunk bed for Catie and Emma. I still haven't put their room quite together as we need to figure out where the cot is going. (it's in the middle of the room at the moment to keep Naomi from pulling stuff out of drawers, off of hangars or off the walls) but they love their new beds. I think the plan is for a triple bunk for the next bedroom. Basically two beds in an "L" formation with the top bunk the same height as this.

drawing on the wall
I went to bed last night and found someone had drawn all over the wall just above my pillow. I happen to know it's Nathan because he's just started drawing circles and people. I asked him about it this morning and he said it was because he wanted to play paint on my tablet. hmmm....
It did remind me of these little suns that were drawn on my wall 5 years ago by Nathan's big sisters. =)

Catie's Birthday
We still celebrated Catie's birthday on her birthday. Uncle Jason had come down for the weekend (and consequently got stuck for a couple days because of the flooding between here and Brisbane) so we froze the big cake (hadn't been frosted yet) and made brownies. She got her requested meal of tuna noodle casserole and we opened presents. I have bought fabric to make dresses for Emma and Catie and was able to get one made before her birthday. Even though we didn't have church that day she still asked to wear it. Then she wore it to church the following Sunday. And we had friends and family over to celebrate her birthday a week late. =) It's hard to tell but her cake has a world map on it. Thankfully Josh came to the rescue but we were putting little tiny blue and green sprinkles on the cake one small pinch at a time at 1:00 in the morning. Didn't turn out too bad though.

As you can see the pictures aren't in order but that isn't the point. As you can see we had a western themed VBS this year. It was tiring but lots of fun!! Catie is wearing an Indian outfit that my mother made about 25 years ago. I made Emma's vest that morning because I'm a great procrastinator. So thankful it worked out!! Nathan got his shirt for Christmas but had to be forced to wear it and hasn't worn it since.
December
It's impossible to even know where to begin since it's been ages since I wrote anything. So here's a quick summary of December.
- We finished up school and the girls sang in the HBCA primary choir.
- Beka and Emma went on a trip with Grandma and Grandpa up to Atherton.
- We had Christmas. 3 of them in fact. =)
- We went away with Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Jason and Uncle Matthew to Forest Glen for a couple days. This was a really fun family time.
- On our way home from Forest Glen we stopped at the Bellingham Maze. We thought we might go crazy but we found the middle, and all the dwarfs and even Snow White. =)
